Enterprise/Managed Devices

If your device is managed by an organization, Chrome policies can restrict extension behavior.

Common restrictions

  • Installing/enabling extensions.
  • Using extensions in incognito mode.
  • Screen capture, microphone access, or access to specific sites.

Ask IT to allowlist UI Zap

  • Provide the UI Zap extension ID and the permissions it requests (active tab, screen capture, microphone for audio).
  • Example Chrome policies your admin may review: ExtensionInstallAllowlist, ExtensionSettings, IncognitoModeAvailability.

After policy changes

  • Restart Chrome and try again.
  • If capture is still blocked on specific sites, it may be due to Content Security Policy (CSP) or iframe restrictions.
